Fat Mattress

The rock group Fat Mattress was founded by Noel Redding. This was the bass guitarist for the group Jimi Hendrix Experience. He was able to accommodate his own compositions, but not enough for him in the long run, and he started during his 1968 solo project. He hired Jim Leverton, Neil Landon and Pete Kircher. Kircher was later replaced by drummer Eric Dillon.

The three musicians were on the rock scene already known Leverton played bass with the Walker Brothers and their hit "The Sun Is not Gonna Shine Anymore ," Neil Landon was a singer at the Flowerpot Men and sang her hit song "Let's Go To San Francisco ". Landon, Leverton and Redding were friends since 1962. Together they toured with her group " Neil Landon And The Burnettes " until 1965 by German clubs, then they broke up. In 1968, she got back together with " Fat Mattress ". They got a contract from Polydor and released their first LP " Fat Mattress " in the fall out. In the U.S. alone, they sold them half a million.

After they have always played as the opening act, they toured now even by the United States. Redding and Leverton fell out and were replaced by Mick Weaver and Steve Hammond. When they were back in England, they recorded their second album, " Fat Mattress II", but broke up after that. Noel Redding took in Ireland in more slabs. In the 1990s, he toured with the Swiss band More Experience Hendrix plays the songs. On 11 May 2003, he died. Jim Leverton played bass for Steve Marriott, Eric Dillon joined the industry and became a pilot, Neil Landon moved to Hamburg and works there as a singer. Pete Kircher went to the status quo.
