Fate (Band)
Fate is a Danish AOR and hard rock band. It was ( at Fate with only one "n": Sherman) in 1984 by ex- Mercyful Fate guitarist Hank Sherman founded in Copenhagen. After his departure (1988 ) existed under the direction of Peter Steincke initially to 1993 continue to revive in 2006 as the only original member with Steincke again.
Band History
The guitarist Hank Sherman, who had collected from 1978 to 1981 with Brats and in between as a temp at Danger Zone first band experience was in 1981 involved with Brats colleagues at the foundation of Mercyful Fate. With it came the first Mercyful Fate EP and the albums Melissa and Do not Break the Oath. Sherman turned to the Copenhagen formation Maxim, who was at that time just without guitarist. Shortly thereafter went Eklundh and was replaced by the Copenhagen talent Sören Hoff. The preparations for the new album stalled and gigs had to be canceled due to financial considerations. The 1993 split was inevitable.
Holm aka Bob Lance took over in 1994 Mercyful Fate the drums and played at the Hank Sherman's side, the albums Into The Unknown, Dead Again and 9 with a. Again, under the name Bjarne Holm, he tried in 1999 with Sherman in the project Virus 7, which was adjusted according to an article published in 2000 album. 2004 a Sherman and Holm together with Denner as Force Of Evil again in appearance.
In the same year Fate received an invitation to Deep Impact Festival in Germany.
