Fatisi

Fatisi is a subdistrict in East Timor Suco Laulara (District Aileu ).

Geography

The Suco Fatisi lies in the west of the sub-district Laulara and has an area of ​​11.82 km ². To the east lies the Suco Tohumeta. In the southeast Fatisi adjacent to the sub-district Aileu with his Suco Seloi Craic. In the northeast of Dili district lies with the sub-districts Veracruz ( Suco Dare ) and Dom Aleixo ( Suco Comoro ). In the northwest, the district Liquiçá is with his subdistrict Bazartete ( Suco Tibar ). To the southwest lies the district finally Ermera with the subdistrict Railaco ( Sucos Taraco and Samalete ). The border with Tibar forms the Rio Comoro, which falls dry outside the rainy season. Similarly, the Beinas, the border river to Dare, which flows on the northern tip Fatisis in the Comoro.

Only minor roads connect the Suco with the outside world. For the 2007 parliamentary elections, the ballot boxes to the polling station in elementary school had brought with vehicles and horses and be picked up again. Population

In Suco live 1,156 inhabitants (2010, 2004: 797 ). Nearly 83 % of the population give Tetum Prasa as their native language. Almost 13 % speak Midiki and about 3% Mambai.

History

1984, the inhabitants of Fatisi were deported by the Indonesian occupying power because their Suco suspected was to be a Falintil basis. They were brought to Dili and Aileu. By 1990, the Suco remained uninhabited.

Policy

In the elections of 2004/2005 Armando Guterres was elected Chefe de Suco. In the 2009 elections, Duarte do Rosario won.
