FC Oss

FC Oss is a Dutch football club based in Oss. The club was founded on April 9, 1928 playing in the 2013/14 season in the Eerste Divisie.

History

The founding

According to tradition, the two footballers decided tone Sleishauser and Cor van Schijndel Oss to their school to join together into an association. On April 9, 1928, she decided to form a football club. First, the shortcut CMD was (small but brave ) chosen, but this was discarded as numerous other clubs had the same signature. Finally, it was decided for TOP ( to our delight ).

In summer 2009, the club was renamed back to FC Oss.

1950s

In 1954 the Board of TOP decided to apply for a professional license. This became effective with the 1955/56 season and henceforward Top involved in professional football. The foray into the professional football but lasted only two years because TOP was mostly a chance in comparison with the other teams. Despite large regional interest it went for top back in the amateur football.

1990s until today

The early 1990s was an opinion poll in the region around Oss carried out with the question of whether there was interest in a fresh start Oss in professional football. This was supported by a clear majority and so TOP Oss decided, with the support of the Dutch Association of Royal Dutch Football Association ( KNVB ) to return to professional football after almost 40 years. Since the season 1991 TOP Oss playing exclusively in the second division. Once you previously had the opportunity in the first division ascend, but in three games they lost in the play-offs for promotion to the first division club NAC Breda.

In 2008, TOP Oss of a Turkish- Dutch company (MTC Groep ) was bought.

After the 2009/10 season FC Oss rose for one year from the newly established top class.

FC Oss plays in Frans Heesen Stadium, Oss. The stadium has a capacity of 4,560 seats.
