FC ViOn Zlaté Moravce

FC Vion Zlaté Moravce is a Slovak football club from Zlaté Moravce. The club was founded on 22 January 1995.

History

Between its founding in 1995 and 2004 the club at various regional competitions took part, before he ascended into the first league in 2004, the second highest Slovakian league. In the season 2006/07 FC Vion Zlaté Moravce won the Slovakian football cup and rose to the Corgoň league, the first Slovakian league. By the Cup victory, the team qualified for the UEFA Cup.

On 19 July 2007 Zlaté Moravce played its first international match against FK Almaty from Kazakhstan, which they won 3-1. By a 1-1 draw, the club for the second qualifying round, where they eliminated after losing to eventual winners Zenit St. Petersburg qualified.
