FC Volga Nizhny Novgorod
The FK Volga Nizhny Novgorod (Russian Футбольный Клуб Волга Нижний Новгород, Futbolny club Volga Nizhny Novgorod ) is a Russian football club based in Nizhny Novgorod, which was founded in 1963 and since 2011 playing in the Premjer League.
History
The club was disbanded in 1984 and first established in 1998 as Elektronika Nizhny Novgorod new. Since 2004, he again bears the name Volga Nizhny Novgorod. Third place in the 2000 season was achieved in the group " Powolsche " in the 4th Russian league at the end. Thus, the club was promoted to the group of Ural - Povolzhye in the 2nd Division. 2008, the club won the zone championship and was promoted to the first division. 2009, the fourth place was achieved in the 1st Division. In the following season the team won the runner-up, the right to participate in the operation of the game Premjer League.
