Fejd

Fejd is a Swedish folk metal band that was founded in 2001 in Lilla Edet.

History

The brothers Patrik and Niklas Rimmerfors play as a duo under the name Rimmerfors music of the medieval scene at the time the usual instruments, such as the nyckelharpa or the hurdy-gurdy. In 2001, she teamed up with fellow musicians Lennart Specht, Thomas Antonsson and Esko Salow the band Fejd. The metal musicians Specht, Antonsson and Salow play together in the band pathos and Nostradameus. The new band connects the hard sounds of metal with the typical melodic themes of the Nordic Folks. Originally the songs were written entirely by the Rimmerfors brothers. Meanwhile, the works are created in a joint work of the entire band.

First appearances the band did in 2002. After three self-produced demos and EPs released in 2009 with Napalm Records debut album Storm. 2010 was followed by the second album. The band performed several times since 2009 in Germany, including the Wacken Open Air 2009, the Wave -Gotik-Treffen, Summer Breeze Festival, and the Fire Dance Festival 2010 and 2011 as the opening act of Xavier Rudd.

Style

Dominating the music of Fejd of authentic medieval instruments. Electric guitars are not used. The Swedish-language texts deal with the world of myths and fairy tales.
