Feller Bach

The Feller Bach is a right tributary of the Moselle River in Rhineland -Palatinate, Germany. It takes its name from the carrying place fur. In the catchment area of the stream, the FFH area Fellerbachtal is with a size of 514 hectares. In the valley of Feller creek and in the side valleys are numerous abandoned slate quarries.

Geography

The Feller Bach gets its name from the confluence of the Saar river and Welgerbach below the castle head, about 1.4 km north-east of Thomm and 2 km north- west of Lorscheid. The Saarbach is fed by the creek and the Farschweiler Lorscheider Bach, whose headwaters of Etgesbach and Bickenbach in Osburger forest in Beuren ( Hochwald ) are.

From the confluence of its headwaters Feller Bach takes an S-shaped path northwest. He first crossed the state forest Quint in a wide curve to the left. Here he takes on numerous short streams from the surrounding heights. About half- way to the Mosel he reached fur from which the creek takes its name. In the fur Thommerbach, which is also referred to as Nossernbach and in the upper reaches as Klaus Bach in the lower reaches flows.

There have been 1 km past the fur Feller Bach achieved Fastrau. He then passes under the viaduct Feller of A1, a little later to 122 m above sea level. NN between Longuich and Riol to open into the Moselle.

Mills

On Lorscheider Bach Scho Jewellers mill, mill and the former woodpecker belonging to Farschweiler monastery mill are located (former name: Mitre mill). On Saarbach is the Herler mill, now an Ayurvedic healing center. In the coat is the low Feller mill for coat Fastrau the Fast Rough mill and shortly before the mouth of the Rioler and the Longuicher mill.
