Geography

Beuren is in the nature park Saar -Hunsrück about 20 km east of Trier.

Immediate neighboring towns are: Schoenberg, Neunkirchen, Burtscheid, Rascheid, Hinzert - Pölert, Reinfeld, Osburg, Farschweiler, Lorscheid and communication.

The municipality is divided into the two districts Beuren and Prosterath with the living space Waldmuhle.

History

The suffix " ( Hochwald ) " bears the community since December 1, 1969. On March 17, 1974 Prosterath was incorporated with 209 residents at that time to Beuren ( Hochwald ).
