Onsdorf

Onsdorf is a municipality in the Trier -Saar castle in Rhineland- Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Konz.

History

First documented in 1030 as the place was Omestorff.

On July 18, 1946 Onsdorf been assigned together with a further 80 municipalities in the counties of Trier and Saarburg Saarland, which no longer was under the Allied Control Council at the time. However, this association did not last long, for on 8 June 1947, Onsdorf and 60 other previously outsourced communities to the newly formed in 1946, the state of Rhineland -Palatinate.
