Fenenna of Kuyavia

Fenena of Cujavia (Polish Fenenna Inowrocławska; * 1276, † September 8, 1295 in Buda ) was a Polish princess of the Duchy Kuyavian and by marriage Queen of Hungary. She came from the noble family of the Piast dynasty.

Life

She was the daughter of Duke Siemomysław of Cujavia in Inowrocław and his wife Salome of Pomerania.

In 1290, she was 13 years old with the older 11 Years Andreas III. married from Hungary, the same year she was crowned along with her husband to the Hungarian royal couple.

The couple had only one daughter Elizabeth (around 1293-1336 ), the nun in the Dominican convent at Winterthur Töss was.

Fenena died after five years of marriage in 1295 at the age of 18 years, her husband married five months after her death, the German princess Agnes of Austria.
