Feng Tianwei

Feng Tianwei (Chinese冯天薇/冯天薇, Feng Tianwei Pinyin, born August 31, 1986 in Harbin (China) ) is a Singaporean table tennis player. At the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games 2012 in London, she was flag bearer for Singapore.

Career

Feng Tianwei was founded in 2002 Chinese youth champion. In 2003, she competed for China at the World Junior Circuit in Wellington. In 2005, she left China and played in the Japanese professional league. In 2007, she moved to Singapore and one year later its citizenship. Since 2007 she plays internationally under the flag of Singapore.

From 2008 to now (2012 ) she was nominated for five world championships. They won the team competition in 2010 and gold in 2008 and silver in 2012. In the 2008 Olympics she won the silver medal in the women's team. In 2012 she qualified on the world rankings place for participation in the Olympic Games. In these, she won the bronze medal in both the individual and in the team competition.

In the ITTF Pro Tour tournaments she won in the Grand Finals 2010 in singles.

Awards

2010 and 2013 Feng Tianwei was elected to Singapore's Sportswoman of the Year 2009. With the women's national team, she was the year 2008 and 2009.
