Fernanda Ferreira

Fernanda Cristina Ferreira ( born January 10, 1980 in Belo Horizonte ) is a Brazilian volleyball player. She won the Olympic gold medal in 2012.

Career

Ferreira started her career in 2002 at Rio de Janeiro and VC followed a year later to the EC Pinheiros. From 2005 to 2007, she played one season at Associação Desportiva Brusque and Osasco Voleibol Clube. She then moved to the Italian first division Santeramo sport. In 2008, the setter went to league rivals Yamamay Busto Arsizio. In 2010 she won the CEV Cup with the club. After this success, she was engaged by Pallavolo Modena. December 16, 2011 Ferreira finished their time in Italy and went in early 2012 for half a year to Azerbaijan to Igtisadchi Baku. With the Brazilian national team, she reached the final of the Grand Prix in 2012. Subsequently, she participated in the Olympics in London and won with Brazil in the final against the United States the gold medal. In the 2012/13 season Ferreira plays in their home at vôlei Amil.
