Fernando Charrier

Fernando Charrier ( born September 12, 1931 in Bourcet at Roure, Chisone, Torino Province, † October 7, 2011 in Alessandria, Piedmont ) was an Italian clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of the diocese of Alessandria. Pope John Paul II called him the preachers of the social gospel.

Life

Fernando Charrier studied at the seminary in Pinerolo and received on 24 June 1956, the ordination. He was first secretary to the bishop Gaudenzio Binaschi and then pastor in Mentoulles. At the Pontifical Lateran University in Rome, he studied canon law.
