Ferromex

Ferrocarril Mexicano, Ferromex short ( FXE ), is a Mexican Railway Company. The company is Mexico City. The railway company is owned by the " Grupo Ferroviario Mexicano " ( GFM ), a joint venture between Union Pacific Railroad and Infraestructura y Transportes Mexico ( ITM ) is a subsidiary of Grupo México and the Mexican entrepreneur Carlos Slim.

The company drives on a route network of 8650 km, of which 7930 km in his own possession. The fleet consists of approximately 500 locomotives and 10,000 wagons. The 6,185 employees carries about 534 974 truckloads of 38.4 million tons. History

In 1995, the Mexican government decided to privatize the state-owned railway company Ferrocarriles Nacionales de México.
