Fesmy-le-Sart
Fesmy -le- Sart is a commune with 502 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Aisne in the Picardie region; it belongs to the arrondissement of Vervins and the District of Le Nouvion -en- thiérache.
Geography
Fesmy -le- Sart, the northernmost municipality in the department of Aisne, located on the upper Sambre and the Sambre -Oise Canal, approximately 35 kilometers northeast of Saint- Quentin and 35 kilometers south-east of Cambrai.
History
The community Fesmy -le- Sart originated in 1807 by the merger of the municipalities Fesmy and Le Sart. From 1830 the communities went their separate ways until they were in 1972 merged again.

Attractions
The former Benedictine abbey of Saint -Étienne de Fesmy was founded in the 11th century and abolished in 1763. The convent buildings are now used as a farm and as a dwelling. The monastery church is used as a barn
