First Snow is an American- German thriller from 2006. Directed by Mark Fergus, who also wrote the screenplay with Hawk Ostby.
Action
The seller Jimmy Starks dreams about big, rich entry transactions, which he set in the immediate future. During a business trip, he is stranded in a place in New Mexico, where his car is being repaired. It can be there to pass the time predict the future and hears that he should die as soon as the first snow falls.
Starks is owned by predicting more and more. He hides from his girlfriend Deirdre, but revealed his colleague Ed Jacomoi.
Reviews
Sheri Linden wrote in the Hollywood Reporter on 8 February 2007, the film was a " fresh, intelligent and involvierender through and through psychological thriller ". The "strong" actors would breathe the " lyrical, but never contrived " dialogs life.
Ronnie Scheib wrote in the journal Variety March 26, 2007, will give " atmospheric " psychological thriller, a nuanced character study with well selected items such as landscapes, strong supporting cast and credible game of the main character.
Background
The film was shot in Albuquerque and in some other places in New Mexico. Its world premiere took place on 5 May 2006 at the Tribeca Film Festival, which was followed by several other film festivals. In many countries, such as Greece, Hungary and the Netherlands, the film was released directly to DVD.
