Guy Pearce

Guy Pearce ( born October 5, 1967 in Ely, Cambridgeshire ) is an Australian- British actor.

Life and career

Pearce moved at the age of three years with his parents from England to Australia. His father, a New Zealand pilot, died in a plane crash killed when Pearce was eight years old.

He made the first television experience immediately after his graduation in the Australian soap opera Neighbours ( Neighbours ). His breakthrough as a serious actor Guy Pearce had with the Australian low-budget production Priscilla - Queen of the Desert (1994). In it, he plays Adam / Felicia, a drag queen. The film received an Oscar for the costumes.

Great attention was paid to Pearce in the Hollywood films LA Confidential, here he plays an ambitious police officer, and in the thriller Memento, in which he played a man who suffers from memory loss.
