Flag of Saskatchewan

The flag of Saskatchewan is green -gold divided philadelphicum with the coat of arms of Saskatchewan in the naval jack and a Lilium, which extends in the fly over both color fields. The upper green half represents the forested regions of the north of the province, the lower half of the golden wheat fields of the prairies in the south. The flag has a 3:1 aspect ratio.

The province would have had after its establishment in 1905, the right to use an unofficially Blue Ensign with the provincial coat of arms, but it is not known whether such a flag ever made. 1964 was held a contest to determine a province flag in view of the Centenary of Canadian Confederation. The winning design was divided red-green, with a wheat ear in the leech and the provincial coat of arms in the upper part of flight. However, this flag was barely approval, and a new competition was announced. From 4025 received a draft Commission selected the proposal by Anthony Drake from Hodgeville. The flag was introduced on 22 September 1969.
