Flavius Stoican

Flavius ​​Vladimir Stoican (* November 24, 1976 in Vânju Mare, circle Mehedinţi ) is a former Romanian football player and current coach. Career as a player

Stoican began his career in 1994 at FC Drobeta Turnu Severin in Divizia C. After one season of first division side FC signed him Universitatea Craiova. On August 12, 1995, he came to his first appearance in Divizia A (now League 1). He remained in Craiova first reserve player and came infrequently used. It was not until 1999, accumulated their bets, but he could never claim over a longer period of time than a regular player itself. His club placed in this period in the middle of the league or struggling to avoid relegation. Twice - in the seasons 1997/98 and 1999/ 2000 - he reached with his club the cup final, but there drew the short straw.

In 2002 Stoican left after seven years of Craiova and joined the Romanian giants Dinamo Bucharest. With the club he won the trophy by winning his first title in 2003, but did not in the final used. During the winter break 2003/ 04 he left Dinamo and joined the Ukrainian giants Shakhtar Donetsk. After the Cup victory in 2004 he won the club championships in 2005 and 2006. During the season 2005/ 06 he had lost the previously won regular place again.

In 2006 Stoican moved to league rivals Metalist Kharkiv, came there but only to use one, so that a year later to Romania returned to Dinamo Bucharest. Even with his former club, he could hardly get to the course and moved in 2008 to his home to Minerul Mehedinţi Valea Copcii, where a year later his playing career ended.

National

Stoican played 19 games for the Romanian national football team. He had his first deployment when he came on in the 86th minute for Dan Petrescu on August 18, 1999 in a friendly against Cyprus. In the following games, he was no longer considered by coach Victor Piţurcă.

Only under Anghel Iordănescu Stoican was appointed in February 2002 after two and a half years back in the national team. After two appearances in friendlies he was from August 2003 to the root of the team that failed to qualify for Euro 2004 scarce. In 2004, he was the undisputed with eight out of nine possible stakes regulars. In 2005, he was no longer employed by Iordanescu successor Piţurcă regularly. Career as a coach

By the end of his active career Stoican was in the League III as player-coach of Minerul Mehedinţi Valea Copcii, the club of his hometown Vânju Mare, works. From 2009 he concentrated fully on the job on the sidelines. After the withdrawal of the club in 2010, he became coach of Premier League rivals Scolar Resita CSM. In July 2011 he moved to Dinamo Bucharest II in the Liga II, where he replaced Liviu Ciobotariu, who had been promoted to the first team.
