2011–12 Liga II
The League II 2011/12 was the 72th season of the second Romanian football league. It began on 19 August, 2011 and ended on June 2, 2012. From late November 2011 to mid March 2012 rested the game operation ( winter break ). Up in the League 1 were FC Viitorul Constanţa, CSMS Iaşi, Gloria Bistrita and CS Turnu Severin.
Mode
The League II was fought in two seasons with 16 teams. The two teams in every season were promoted to the Football League 1, while the three last-place teams had to stay in the League III. Second teams of first division club, clubs, which had been established less than three years, as well as associations with tax liabilities were not entitled to advancement. For a victory, there were three points, one for a draw and no points for a defeat. Case of a tie at the end of the season not the goal difference, but the direct comparison decided.
