Fluminimaggiore
Fluminimaggiore is an Italian municipality ( comune ) with 2957 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the province of Carbonia -Iglesias in Sardinia. The municipality is situated approximately 31 kilometers from Carbonia and about 14 kilometers north- west of Iglesias at the Parco della Sardegna Ambientale Geominerario Storico ed. In the northwest there is a small stretch of coast to the Mediterranean.
History
Near Fluminimaggiore the Punic temple of Antas from the period is around 500 BC. The nuragic already settled here.
Traffic
Through the community, the Strada Statale 126 Sud Occidentale Sarda leads from Porto Sant'Antioco after Marrubiu.
