Narcao

Narcao is an Italian municipality ( comune ) in the province of Carbonia -Iglesias in Sardinia. The municipality is situated approximately 13 kilometers east-northeast of Carbonia and about 33.5 km south-southeast of Iglesias at the Parco della Sardegna Ambientale Geominerario Storico ed. Narcao is immediately adjacent to the province of Cagliari.

Community partnerships

Narcao maintains an intra- Italian partnership with Bovegno in the province of Brescia, a partnership with the municipal Les Rues -des- Vignes in the department of Nord.

History

Even in the period before the settlement of the nuragic the area was already inhabited. Finds from the nuragical time are indeed to find also. 1853 the area of the municipality was charged.
