Fly with Me is the title of the second song from the fourth studio album by the American band the Jonas Brothers that was released as a single.

Background and facts

The song was released on June 9, the corresponding music video on June 7. It is about the relationship of guitarist Kevin Jonas and his girlfriend Danielle Deleasa and the fact that the two were spatially separated at the time by the tour the band.

He also was in the movie Night at the Museum 2, in which the Jonas Brothers had a voice before.

Music Video

The music video was on 7 June 2009 for the first time shown on the Disney Channel and on the same day on the official YouTube page of the record label Hollywood Records.

The video shows the band in the live sample of the song, which took place during the Jonas Brothers World Tour 2009. Also backstage scenes of the tour can be seen in the clip.

Chart positions

The song reached number 89 in Germany, also ranked number 83 in the American Billboard charts. In the download charts in America, the song placed at No. 48 even

Reception

Bill Lamb of About.com wrote in his review for the fourth studio album, Lines, Vines and Trying Times, that the song did not fit to the previous songs. The instruments are completely different and the genre did not fit well to the band's sound. He also criticized the fact that the Jonas Brothers neither a clear line had its own distinctive style even in their music. Eventually, he gave the album 2.5 out of 5 stars.
