Tonight was the third single from the third studio album by American band Jonas Brothers. The song was released on January 4, 2009, but increased in August 2008 in the charts. Has announced the release of the single during the American Music Awards in November 2008.

Origin and inspiration

While iTunes Podcasts Jonas Brothers Countdown to A Little Bit Longer for publication of the third album of the band Nick Jonas said the following:

" The song is about being with someone in a relationship and to fall in with this dispute, which can not be killed that night. ( The song ) is one of my favorite songs of the album. "

" This song is about being in a relationship with somebody and getting into arguments thatwill not work out did night. It's so one of my favorite songs on the album. "

Music Video

The music video was directed by Bruce Hendricks, he worked as a director for both the video as well as for the 3D concert film Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience working the band. The video clips can be seen from precisely this movie: live recordings of the piece as well as some backstage scenes.

Chart positions

The song reached by an advertising deal with iTunes in August 2008 by download, the Billboard charts in America, although it has not yet been officially released at this time (see: A Little Bit Longer ). After the release of the soundtrack to their 3D concert film the song again reached the charts and peaked at number 71 in America it reached number eight and has since been behind Burnin 'Up the most successful single of the band. In the U.S. download charts, the song even placed 2nd place in Canada in 13th place

Reception

Ken Barnes of USA Today called the song contagious. Glenn Gamboa of Newsday compared the song with the music of the American band Fall Out Boy, as the song supple, energetic feel-good pop is '.

Versions

The cover version of the song appeared on the band's debut album, Who I Am, but was not released as a single. On the live album, the song can be heard as a live version. The acoustic version the band played at the Radio Disney Total Access Weekend show.

Live performances

Nick Jonas & the Administration played the title for the first time during her Who I Am Tour, which took place in 2010. Later, the band played the song during various shows as an acoustic version.
