Foley is a city in the state of Minnesota in the United States. At the 2000 census Foley had 2154 inhabitants. Benton is the county seat of Benton County.

According to the United States Census Bureau, Benton has a total area of 4.9 square miles, all of it is land.

Demographic data
At the time of the census of 2000, Benton 2154 people inhabited. The population density was 442.4 people per km ². There were 793 housing units at an average 162.9 per km ². The population consisted of about 97.21 % White, 1.35 % African American, 0.37 % Native American, 0.46% Asian, 0.09 % reported from other races, and 0.51 % from two or more races. 0.46 % of the population to be Hispanic or Latino of any race.
The residents were distributed among 756 households out of which 39.2 % were living in children under 18 years. 50.5 % married couples living together, 11.5 % had a female householder with no husband present, and 33.9 % were non-families. 11.5% of households were made up of individuals and someone lived in 16.1 % of all households aged 65 years or older. The average household size was 2.6 and the average family size is 3.23 people.
The population was spread out with 27.6 % under the, 11.7% 18-24 year olds, 27.6 % 25 -44- year-old, 15.2% 45-64 year olds and 17.8 % under the age of 65 years or more. The average age was 33 years. For every 100 females there were 99.8 males. In the over -18s accounted for 100 women, 93.2 men.
