Fram, Paraguay

Fram, a district in the department of Itapúa Paraguay, about 46 km from Encarnación and about 22 km from Carmen del Paraná is located at an altitude of 195 m.

He is surrounded by the neighboring districts Encarnación, Carmen del Paraná, General Artigas, San Pedro del Paraná and La Paz Fram was founded on 20 March 1927 by the Norwegian Pedro Cristo Hensen. The old name of this place was aperea.

The population of the colony Fram was in the early 1960s mostly of Russians, Poles and Czechs. Today, it is mainly composed of Slavs, Russians, Germans, Japanese and Ukrainians together, most of whom work in agriculture.
