Francesco Dell'Uomo

Francesco dell'Uomo ( born January 8, 1987 in Colle Ferro ) is an Italian diver. It belongs to Gruppi Sportivi Fiamme Gialle, a sports promotion group of the Guardia di Finanza, and starts in the 10 - m tower and synchronized diving.

Dell'Uomo won his first success at junior level. Between 2002 and 2005 he won another silver medal at the Junior World Championships three silver and two bronze medals at the European Junior Championships and in 2002 also. He took in the adult range for the first time at the 2006 European Championship in Budapest and won along with Michele Benedetti in the 10 -meter synchronized diving bronze medal. In 2007 he raced in Melbourne for the first time at the World Championships, where he reached the final of the 10 m tower and was twelfth. At the 2008 European Championships in Eindhoven he won a bronze medal, this time in the individual competition of the tower. Dell'Uomo has participated at the Olympic Games in Beijing in 2008, but retired there from the tower in the preliminaries. The following year he first appeared at the World Championships in Rome with Andrea Chiarabini and reached the 10 -meter synchronized diving with fifth place his best ever World Cup placement. The 2011 World Championships in Shanghai, however, was less successful.
