François Modesto

François -Joseph Modesto ( born April 19, 1978 in Bastia ) is a French football player. Currently, the defender is at SC Bastia under contract.

Career

Modesto began his professional career in 1997 in his hometown at SC Bastia. There he played for two seasons before moving to Italian club Cagliari Calcio 1999. This he remained for five years faithfully and played both in Serie A, as well as in series B. At the beginning of the season 2005/ 06 he moved back to France for AS Monaco. There the Defensive Allrounder had a contract until 2010. This contract was not renewed, so he moved to Olympiakos Piraeus. In the season 2010/11 he won for the first time in his career with Olympiakos Piraeus, the Greek Championship. After additional titles in Greece, the Frenchman moved in the summer of 2013 to his old club SC Bastia.
