François Nourissier

François Nourissier ( born May 18, 1927 in Paris, † February 15, 2011 ) was a French writer and literary critic.

Life

François Nourissier published as a writer over 25 works that were partly autobiographical and in the tradition of psychological novel.

For his work he has won several awards and was for a French story ( Une histoire française ) 1966 Grand Prix du Roman, every October since 1918 to the French Academy awarded for a French-language fiction prize. In 1968, Les Français photographs by Henri Cartier -Bresson and Jürg Hassler. This book was in 1969 by Eugen Helmle also translated into the German language as early as 1968 the Roman master of the house. In 1970 he received the Prix Femina for La Crève, 2002 the Prix mondial Cino Del Duca.

Nourissier, in 1973 a member of the jury was led by Ingrid Bergman at the International Film Festival in Cannes, also was 1977-2008 member of the Académie Goncourt, which awards the most famous French literary prize every year, the Prix Goncourt.

François Nourissier, who was since 1962 Amschel with Cécile Hélène Muhlstein, a descendant of Mayer Rothschild, married, died from the effects of Parkinson 's disease.
