François Rauber

François Rauber ( born January 19, 1933 Neufchâteau, France, † 14 December 2003) was a French pianist, composer, arranger and orchestral conductor. He became known in particular through cooperation with Jacques Brel, for which he composed many songs and arranged.

Life

François Rauber studied as a classical pianist at the conservatory in Nancy and attended the local master class. In 1951 he came to Paris, where he worked as a pianist at the French National Assembly, such as musical receptions. He also played in various Parisian cabarets, so La Rose Rouge, L' Ecluse, La Fontaine des Quatre- Saisons and Jacques Canetti Les Trois Baudets, in which he particularly Boris Vian accompanied.
