Franghiz Alizadeh

Firəngiz Əlizadə (Russian Франгиз Али-Заде/Frangis Ali -Zadeh; born May 28, 1947 in Baku, Azerbaijan SSR ) is an Azerbaijani pianist and composer.

Əlizadə studied at the Conservatory of Baku piano and composition. From 1973 to 1976 she was an aspirant in Qara Qarayev, then she taught at the Conservatory until 1990 music history. By 1993, she was Professor of Contemporary Music and history of the orchestra styles. From 1993 to 1996 she was choir director at the opera house in Mersin / Turkey, thereafter at the Conservatory lecturer in piano and music theory. Until 1999, she worked again in Baku and then moved to Germany. In 2000, she was honored as People's Artist of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
