Fred Murphy (cinematographer)

Fred Murphy ( born December 16, 1942 in New York City ) is an American cinematographer.

Life

Murphy had studied architecture at the School of Design at Rhode Iceland. He then drove for several years as a sailor at sea on an oceanographic ship.

His start in film was Murphy as a " gofer ", then worked as an electrician for commercial film and photographed in the early 1970s no-budget films and experimental short films.
