Frederick, Count Palatine of Zweibrücken-Vohenstrauss-Parkstein

Friedrich von Pfalz- Vohenstrauß Park Stone (* April 11, 1557 in Meisenheim, † December 17, 1597 at Castle Friedrichsburg at Vohenstrauß ) was the fourth son of Wolfgang von Pfalz- Zweibrücken and Anna of Hesse. He was Lutheran brought up in the castle of Neuburg.

Since he was only 12 years old when his father died, took over his older brother Philipp Ludwig guardianship. With his majority in 1581 he was able to take his inheritance. He inherited control of the nursing office Flossenbiirg with the markets raft and Vohenstrauß and the Palatinate - neuburgischen part of the Office Park Stone pastures.

On February 26, 1587, he married Catherine Sophia of Liegnitz ( 1561-1608 ), a daughter of the Silesian Duke Henry XI. of Liegnitz. They had three children who died at the age of a few months: the daughter Anna Sophie (1588-1589) and the twins Georg Friedrich and Friedrich Kasimir (* / † 1590).

From 1586 to 1593 he had the castle built in Fredericksburg Vohenstrauß. After he had moved there in 1593, flourished on the small town. After his death in 1597, the lap was a widow's residence. Frederick was buried on February 21, 1598 with his sons in the family vault in St. Martin in Lauingen. Since he had no surviving descendants, Park Stone fell to his brother Philipp Ludwig von Pfalz- Neuburg.
