Frederick, Prince of Anhalt-Bernburg-Schaumburg-Hoym

Adolf Friedrich Ludwig of Anhalt- Bernburg - Schaumburg- Hoym ( born November 29, 1741 Schaumburg Castle, † December 24, 1812 in Bad Homburg ) was the fifth and last Prince of Anhalt -Bernburg - Schaumburg- Hoym.

Life

Frederick was a son of Prince Viktor I. of Anhalt- Bernburg - Schaumburg- Hoym (1693-1772) from his second marriage with Hedwig Sophie (1717-1795), daughter of Count Wenzel Ludwig Henckel von Donnersmarck.

First, in the Dutch service was Friedrich commander of the third regiment " Orange-Nassau " and later in Swedish military service Major General. He succeeded his nephew Victor II in 1812 as Prince of Anhalt- Bernburg - Schaumburg- Hoym, but died later that year after eight months of government unmarried and childless, so that the side line Schaumburg- Hoym became extinct in the male line. The Paragiat fell back to the Bernburger main line. The Allodialerbe, including the county Holzapfel included with Schaumburg, went to the widow and daughters of his nephew Viktor. The county Holzapfel with Schaumburg brought his great-niece Hermione to the House of Austria. Prince Frederick had waived on December 27th, 1811 in the county.
