Fredrik Raahauge Petersen ( born August 27, 1983 in Ystad ) is a Swedish handball player. He is 1.88 m tall and weighs 80 kg.

Petersen, who for the German Club foxes Berlin plays since the 2013/14 season and runs for the Swedish men's national handball team is mostly used on the left wing. Petersen is right-handed.

Fredrik Petersen began in his hometown with the handball game. For the local first division club IFK Ystad he also debuted in the Swedish Elitserien. With his club Petersen moved in in 2004 the semi-finals of the Swedish championship, but otherwise he belonged rather to the mediocrity of the league. In 2006, Petersen to Danish top club GOG Svendborg TGI, where he was planned as the successor to Anders Eggert. With the Jutlanders he won the 2007 Danish championship. In February 2010 he moved to Bjerringbro - Silkeborg. In summer 2012, the Swede wanted to switch to AG København, then joined but because of the insolvency of the Copenhagen HSV Hamburg. With the HSV 2013 he won the Champions League. For 2013/14 he moved to the foxes Berlin, where he received a contract until 2015.

Fredrik Petersen has previously denied 112 caps for the Swedish national team. For the Men's Handball World Championship for Men in Germany in 2007, he could not qualify with Sweden; in the European Handball Championship in Norway in 2008, he belonged only to the extended line-up of his country. At the 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London, he won the silver medal with Sweden.
