Frogcircus

Frogcircus founded a rock band from Berlin, originally in 1996 in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (Spain).

Band History

Founded Frogcircus of the singer and guitarist Stone (born Antonio J. Pérez Alonso ) in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria 1996. Mariano Gracia With bassist and drummer Juan Manuel Cuadrado Stone produced in 1996 and 1997, the first demos Drunken Sailors' ritual and The Chinese sideburns.

In 1998, the guitarist and the drummer José Jorge Casañas Llobet joined the band. 1999, the first plate Acid Jokes was published in Ajo Records, produced by Jorge Casañas and Frogcircus. This year, they were invited by the U.S. television network HBO to Los Angeles to present the album in a shipment. Furthermore Frogcircus played at Campus Rock Festival as a headliner along with the Spanish rock band Dover, and joint concerts with Nada Surf, The Godfathers and Mick Taylor.

Shortly after the introduction of Miguel Arencibia (drums) and Miguel Ballesteros (E -Bass ) the band moved to Berlin, where it was taken from the label Thorhammer under contract. Published in 2002 Frogcircus an EP titled Zeitgeist EP, produced by Thomas Neumann. Following the publication of Stone replaced the Spanish musician by those from Berlin: Tyronne Silva ( drums) and Timo Günzeln ( bass). With this lineup the band went on their first tour of Germany, along with the singer Bobo, who had previously recorded the song Angel with Rammstein.

All three of the band continued to work on their next album Allergic, with shots in Berlin and Gran Canaria, produced by Stone himself ( under his real name ). For health reasons, the drummer Tyronne Silva had briefly then stop without drums. After some changes Tobi came Cheerful (formerly among others Limbic ) in the band.

On 1 March 2005, the third LP Allergic appeared in soy Music, together with the single Titanium plus a video clip of Maxim Matthew. In the spring of 2006 Frogcircus contributed two tracks to the songs on film Ludgers case the director Wolf Wolff. In August 2006, the band returned to the studio to record the third album, Not Completely Clean. Produced the CD by Jürgen block.

After a pause Frogcircus started recording their fifth disc, ink, which lasted until March 2010 in December 2009. Again produced by Antonio J. Pérez Alonso, it was recorded in Berlin, in Almería ( Spain) mixed and mastered at Abbey Road Studios London.
