From Allmusic.com album was well received. The author missed four out of a possible five stars. However, it was criticized that many of the songs lack the heat, is known for the Journey ( "The rest of the songs [ ... ] lack the warmth did Journey is famous for ").
The album received in the United States six times platinum record for each one million units sold. In order for the album in the U.S. was more than six million copies.
