Geography

Furth Göttweig is in the Most district on the eastern end of the Wachau, and on the eastern edge of the Dunkelsteinerwald in Lower Austria. The area of ​​the municipality covers 12.37 square kilometers. 24.79 percent of the area is forested.

History

Population Development

According to the results of the 2001 census, there were 2726 inhabitants. In 1991, the market town of 2471 inhabitants, 1981 and 2289 in 1971, 2051 inhabitants.
