Gabriel Costa

Gabriel Arcanjo Ferreira da Costa ( born December 11, 1954 in Príncipe ) is a politician of São Tomé and Príncipe.

Biography

Costa is a member of the Movimento Democrático forcas because Mudança - Partido Liberal ( MDFM -PL).

In the parliamentary elections in March 2002, the party alliance UE Kédadji reached 16.2 % of the vote and 8 of the 55 seats in parliament, while his MDFM -PL received 23 seats and the former single party MLSTP - PSD with 24 seats again was the strongest party. On 26 March 2002 he was appointed as successor by Evaristo Carvalho prime minister of a coalition government with the Movimento de São Tomé e Príncipe de Libertação ( MLSTP - PSD). This office he held until his release by President Fradique de Menezes on 7 October 2002.

On 12 December 2012, he became prime minister again in place of Patrice Trovoada.
