Gabriel Lawrence Sengol

Gabriel Lawrence Sengol ( born September 18, 1928 in Mandalakottai; † 29 January 2012) was an Indian clergyman and Roman Catholic Bishop of Tiruchirappalli.

Life

Gabriel Lawrence Sengol received on 17 April 1955, the ordination. Pope John Paul II appointed him on October 6, 1990 Bishop of Tiruchirappalli.

The Cardinal Prefect of the Congregation for the Oriental Churches Duraisamy Simon Cardinal Lourdusamy donated to him on 30 December of the same year, the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were Marianus Arokiasamy, Archbishop of Madurai and Packiam Arokiaswamy, Archbishop ad personam of Tanjore.

On 14 October 1997, Pope John Paul II accepted his resignation.
