Gaël Givet

Gaël Givet - Viaros ( born October 9, 1981 in Arles ) is a French football player.

Career

Gaël Givet began at the age of six years in Redessan with the football game. Then he came to the youth team of AC Arles, where he played with Djibril Cissé together in the team. In 1996 he was still 14 years old, the youth center of AS Monaco recording. At his first appearance in Monaco league team the South of France most widely used on the left side of defense came on December 9, 2000 in a 2-2 draw against EA Guingamp. Including the 2005 /06 Ligue 1 denied Givet 146 missions, scoring 7 hits. In Champions League and UEFA Cup, he went to 28 inserts ( 1 goal).

In the season 2005/ 06 Gaël Givet was captain at Monaco. In June 2007, he joined Olympique Marseille. He signed a contract until 2011, but changed in January 2009, initially on loan and then permanently, for Premier League club Blackburn Rovers. He remained there for four and a half years, and then returned to his native France region where Givet is set in the 2013/14 season for the second-tier AC Arles- Avignon.

National

Gaël Givet played so far (as of February 8, 2009 ) 12 times in the French national team. He was summoned for the first time on 18 August 2004, when France played in Rennes against Bosnia- Herzegovina. The game ended 1-1. A goal he could not achieve in the national team. At the 2006 World Cup, he was nominated for the French squad.
