En Avant de Guingamp

En Avant de Guingamp ( En avant called on German forward ) is a French football club from the city of Guingamp in the department of Côtes- d'Armor in Brittany. His name is Breton War raok Gwengamp.

It was founded in 1912, the club colors are red and black.; league team plays in the 18,400 -seat Stade de Roudourou.

The rise of the club is closely associated with the name of Noël Le Graët, who was for thirty years ( 1971-1992 and again 2002-2011 ) club president of EAG. Since mid-2011, Bertrand Desplat is its successor.

The first team is coached by Jocelyn Gourvennec since May 2010. (August 2013)

League membership

Guingamp takes only since 1984 the professional game operating in France ( first to third division) part. First class (Division 1 since 2002 in Ligue 1 renamed) played the club from 1995 to 1998, from 2000 to 2004 and again since 2013.

Women's Soccer

Since the 2011/12 season, the club has a women's football section, which plays under the name En Avant de Guingamp / Ville de Saint- Brieuc in the top French league. This is due to the fact that the women's team of Stade Saint- Brieuc, founded in 1971, joined the neighboring professional club because of better financial support.
