Galerie Thaddaeus Ropac

The Galerie Thaddaeus Ropac is a 1983 by Thaddaeus Ropac (* 1960 in Klagenfurt, Carinthia ) was founded in the Austrian city of Salzburg gallery that represents contemporary artists and exhibits.

History

The seat of the Galerie Thaddaeus Ropac in Salzburg is located in the Villa Kast on Mirabell Square 2 In addition to ongoing major exhibitions on the ground floor of the gallery, in the outbuildings of the ANNEX and the Cabinet DRAWING other artists are shown, such as 2013 Imi Knoebel. In March 2010, the Galerie Thaddaeus Ropac the 4,000 m² HALL opened in the north of Salzburg in the Vilniusstraße as another venue.

Since 1990, the Galerie Thaddaeus Ropac is also established in Paris in the Marais, near the Picasso Museum as well as in Pantin. In October 2012, the gallery opened in the northeast of Paris suburb of Pantin another exhibition with around 4700 m² of which 2,000 m² of exhibition space, the rest is availed for performances and dance. Work

The Thaddaeus Ropac Gallery organized mainly solo and group exhibitions, which are often accompanied by publications.
