Gee (EP)

Gee is the first EP of South Korean girl group Girls' Generation and was on January 7, 2009, after a nine- month break, the group of SM Entertainment published.

Overview

The title song of the mini album " Gee " is a very fast and pop song is about a girl who has fallen in love for the first time. The title " Gee " is an expression of surprise, similar to " Eomeona " ( 어머나! , Oh, my God ). Was written the song of the South Korean producer duo E- TRIBE. The rock-pop song " Way To Go " is a " full version" of " Haptic Motion" that was used as a promotional song for an advertising campaign by Samsung. The music video for " Way To Go" contains scenes from the making-of for " Gee ". The lyrics to "Dear. Mom " comes from the pop singer Ivy under the pseudonym The Lighthouse.

The mini-album was a 44 -page photo booklet. In Taiwan, the EP was distributed by Avex.

The EP reached # 1 on the monthly South Korean album charts.
