Georg Nickaes
Georg " Schorsch " Nickaes ( born June 12, 1971 in Bad Reichenhall ) is a German climber and alpine athletes. He is a member of the German national ski mountaineering and there active speaker.
Nickaes, which operates several alpine sports, including mountain running and climbing, graduated 1994, the training to become a mountain guide from the army and operates the ski mountaineering since that time as a competitive sport. When he emerged in 1999 with the " DIAMIR Race" (unofficial German Championship Ski Mountaineering before the membership of the DAV in ISMC ) at Dammkar as the best German participant, he was by the German Alpine Club (DAV ) as a consequence of participation in international competitions in this sport nominated and participated in the European Cup, in Europe and three times at the World Championships of Ski Mountaineering part. He took part in several times the Patrouille des Glaciers. He arrived in 2001 as a member of a team of three at the Trofeo Mezzalama in the in Italy Province of Aosta the best ever achieved by German starters time.
In a three-day ski tour in the Berchtesgaden area Nickaes and his two companions from one released snow board was buried up to his neck, but managed to lift themselves again with their own forces.
He is married and father of a child.
