George Mihai Florescu ( born May 21, 1984 in Cluj- Napoca, Cluj County ) is a Romanian football player. The attacking midfielder played 188 games in the Moldovan Divizia Naţională, the Romanian Liga 1, the Danish Superliga, the Ukrainian Premjer - Liha and the Russian Premjer League. Since July 2013 he is there at Dynamo Moscow under contract.

Career

The career of George Florescu began in his hometown of Cluj- Napoca at Universitatea Cluj, where he came in the 2001/ 02 season in the squad for the first team, which at that time was represented in Divizia B, the second- highest Romanian league. When he first came little used, in the season 2002/ 03 he made ​​his breakthrough when he was able to achieve nine goals in eleven games.

In the summer of 2004 Florescu "U Cluj " left and moved to the Moldovan top club Sheriff Tiraspol. There he could win the 2005 and 2006 Moldovan championship in the years in which he showed his scoring prowess rarely demonstrated. In autumn 2006 he left the sheriff and moved to Torpedo Moscow. With his new club he joined shortly after starting from the Premjer League. In the first division, the club failed, although the return to the top flight, but Florescu returned to its former strength.

After the season Florescu joined the Danish Super League for FC Midtjylland. There he reached the end of the season runner-up behind Aalborg BK. In the spring of 2010 he returned to Russia plays since for Alania Vladikavkaz in the Premjer League. After the season he was half a year without commitment, before the Ukrainian first division side Arsenal Kiev took him in the summer of 2011 under contract. National

Florescu played eleven games for the Romanian national football team, scoring one goal. He made his debut on 3 March 2010 in a friendly against Israel. He belonged to the squad continuously until March 2011. Subsequently, he was a year not considered before coach Victor Piţurcă appointed him in late May 2012 in his squad for two friendlies against Switzerland and Austria. On 5 June 2012, he played his last international match.
