Georgi Milanov

Georgi Wenzislawow Milanow (Bulgarian: Георги Венциславов Миланов, English: Georgi Milanov Ventzislavov; born February 19, 1992 Levski ) is a Bulgarian football player at the position of midfielder and striker. After he was mainly active in the attack in the youth, he is in the professional sector mainly in midfield active. He currently plays for Litex Lovech in A Grupa, the top division of the Bulgarian football.

Georgi Milanow has a twin brother named Ilija, who also is in the squad of the professional team of Litex Lovech.

Career

Youth

Georgi Milanow started together with his twin brother his active career as a football player in his home town of Levski. Already at this time got both offers from the big clubs Bulgaria's Levski Sofia and CSKA Sofia. But not only the two capital clubs were interested in the two young talents, Spartak Pleven also did manifest his interest. After two years in Levski both changed after Lovech in the junior level of PFK Litex Lovech playing there. There, the brothers went through various youth leagues, before they came to the club's academy in 2005. As before, came in youth both in a variety of championship games for use and often represented their club at different junior tournaments.

Georgi Milanow was until the end of his youth career in 2009 an indispensable member of the Academy teams. Most recently, he was captain of the U-19 team and took it in his last youth season 2008/ 09 to a total of 75 missions. Club career

In summer 2009, Georgi Milanow participated in the Netherlands in the preparation for the 2009/10 season. Here, the young striker scored shortly before the end of the 4-0 final goal for his team in a 4-0 friendly win over ADO Den Haag. His first competitive match for the pros, he completed on 1 August 2009 when he came against Levski Sofia in the 81 minutes for Nebojša Jelenković in the final of the Bulgarian Super Cup 2009 into play.

His league and thus professional debut Milanow only a week after the Supercup final in the championship match of the first round between the locomotive and Litex Lovech Mezdra. Here, the 1.84 m tall actor from the start was in use and achieved after only six minutes of play with a powerful left-foot shot the 1-0 goal for his team. Also during qualifying for the UEFA Europa League 2009/10 came Milanow for Litex to use one when he was in the fourth round, the so-called play-offs in the 0:4 home defeat against Belarus BATE Borisov club in the 104th minute came in to replace the Brazilian Tom.

In the 2012/13 season the A Grupa he scored 16 goals in 27 games and made nine assists. In the scoresheet, he finished third.

National

Milanow stood on 18 November 2009 at the U-21 match against Israel's U -21 squad for the first time in the U -21 team in his home country. In the 0-4 defeat, which was led by an Austrian referee team around Fritz Stuchlik, the young actor, however, did not play. On March 3, he was together with his brother Ilija his debut in the U-21 national team of Bulgaria. Both played through in the 0-2 away defeat against the Montenegrin U-21 national team over the full duration.
