Georgia Engel
Georgia Bright Engel ( born July 28, 1948 in Washington, DC) is an American actress.
Life
Georgia Engel studied at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Her sister Robin Ruth Engel was Miss Hawaii 1967. Shortly after her film debut in Georgia Engel was hired for the TV series Mary Tyler Moore. The role of Georgette Franklin made the actress at the American audience very quickly as " silly blond " known. This character has very much influenced her and she was still seen after the end of Mary Tyler Moore in some other series in similar roles.
Since the 21st century, the actress is increasingly seen on the stage. In 2006, she played on Broadway in the musical The Drowsy Chaperone. She played the role of Mrs. Tottendale for a year on Broadway and was also in the productions in Toronto and San Francisco. In addition, she appeared in two episodes of the hit series Two and a Half Men. Since 2012 she plays sporadically in episodes of the sitcom Hot in Cleveland, again on the side of their former Mary Tyler Moore co-star Betty White.
