Germán Efromovich
Germán Efromovich ( born March 28, 1950 in La Paz, Bolivia ) is a Brazilian- Colombian businessman, also with Polish citizenship (since 2012) and Jewish descent.
Life
His family is originally from Poland. Looking for a new home, the parents left after the Second World War Poland to South America, first to Bolivia, where he was born, later to Chile where Germán Efromovich was from 1955 drawn up into Arica and from 1964 in São Paulo, Brazil. He graduated from the Faculdade de Engenharia Industrial former (RDI) in the state of São Paulo where he took the Mechanical Engineering. Originally, he was also active as a seller of encyclopedias and owner of a private school in São Bernardo do Campo, before he promoted the consolidation of his now billion-dollar oil and aviation empire. First, in the conduct of materials testing for the state Brazilian oil company Petrobras operates Efromovich taught after its business objectives in the construction and leasing of rigs. Avianca
In 1998 he founded the Brazilian airline OceanAir, which was renamed in April 2010 in Avianca Brazil. He keeps control and shares in his company, founded in 2003 Synergy Group, an industrial conglomerate. The company provides services for oil exploration and serves domestic airlines. Efromovich is also the sub-holding company Synergy Aerospace Corp.. , headquartered in Bogota, to the AviancaTaca, at Wayraperú, VIP Ecuador and Avianca (Brasil) involved.
Efromovich is since June 16, 2007 Director of Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp. and Pacific Stratus Energy. He is the CEO of AviancaTaca Holding. He is a member of the Board of Governors of the International Air Transport Association (IATA ), and Director of Avianca, the national airline of Colombia.
Private
Germán has a 5 -years-younger brother by the name of José Efromovich with whom he has worked. He is married, has three daughters and lives alternately in São Paulo and Bogota. It is known that he has simple habits. On international flights, he travels in economy class, he has no private jet and his car in 2005 was more than four years old.
